Detail Commercial Solicitors is pleased to have advised the lender, United Capital Infrastructure Fund (UCIF), on its landmark ₦5 billion debt facility to Husk Power, the world’s largest private-sector mini-grid operator. The transaction represents the first local currency debt instrument of its kind in Nigeria’s solar mini-grid industry.
The revolving loan facility, with a 10-year tenure, will enable Husk Power to accelerate the deployment and expansion of its mini-grid pipeline in Nigeria, spanning standalone mini-grids, interconnected mini-grids (IMGs), and commercial and industrial solar projects.
