Detail Commercial Solicitors (DETAIL) acted as legal advisers to Transgrid Enerco Limited, on the successful completion of its acquisition of a 60% equity stake in Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko DisCo) — Nigeria’s second-largest electricity distribution company.
The acquisition, valued at approximately ₦416 Billion ($290 Million), is one of the largest private deals in Nigeria’s power sector in over a decade and is widely regarded as Nigeria’s first market-driven acquisition in the power sector.
The acquisition was led by our Managing Partner, Temidayo Ajayi, and the financing transaction led by Partner, Olawunmi Alade, with support from Associates Moyosoreoluwa Olajuyigbe, Ayobami Kolawole, Ifeanyi Omife, Tolulope Olayiwola, Jason Onumbu and Solicitor, Blessing Udoh.
