DETAIL is seeking to employ commercial lawyers in the positions of:
To provide expert legal support and advice to clients; take instructions from clients; and advise on necessary courses of legal action. Clients can be individuals, groups, public sector organisation or multi-national companies.
4 years minimum experience working as a lawyer in a commercial law firm or company’s commercial area of law.
Must have knowledge of the following practice areas:
- Banking and Finance**
- Corporate Commercial**
- Infrastructure/Power/Oil & Gas
**(i) and (ii) listed are compulsory, while strong experience is needed in at least one of any of the 3 areas listed under (iii).
LL.B and B.L (LLM or MBA is an added advantage)
- Associate: at least 4 years post call
- Expert legal skills in relevant areas of practice
- Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft outlook, MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Strong supervisory skills
- High standard of communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent client care and interpersonal skills
- Confident and capable
- Efficient and detailed
- Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently
- Excellent leadership skills
- Able to use initiative
- Flexible and cooperative
- Must have effectively led/supervised a team of at least 2 people

DETAIL’s Internship Programme is tailored to students pursuing an LLB degree. The internship provides students exposure to transactional (non-courtroom) practice and mentorship. The internship opportunities are offered between June – November each year.
