Abiodun has also authored several articles including a contribution to the “2018 Project Finance Report” by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR).

Transactions

  • Advised Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc as lenders counsel with respect to $55 million term loan facilities being advanced for the refinancing of Mall developments in Delta State and Imo State.​

  • Advised FBN Bank (UK) Limited as lender’s Nigerian Counsel on a US$50m uncommitted term loan facility to Airtel Networks Limited.

  • Advised Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc as lenders counsel with respect to restructuring its Term Loan Facility to Kellogg Tolaram Nigeria Limited (an international cereal manufacturing company), by providing additional facilities including a N3.2 billion Standby Facility to back-stop a Commercial Bank Guarantee to be issued by Stanbic to the Bank of Industry (“BOI”) on behalf of the Borrower, as security for a facility to be granted by BOI to the Borrower.

  • Advised Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company, Nigeria’s pioneer private sector led mortgage liquidity facility, as Solicitor on its $897 million Corporate Bond Issuance Programme geared towards stimulating liquidity in the Nigerian mortgage industry.

  • Advised EMA and Aiteo Consortia on its acquisition of National Integrated Power Plants – Calabar, Benin and Alaoji Generation Companies valued at $2.7 billion for 80% interest in each of the companies. This included the issuance of an IDA guarantee to backstop the obligation under the Gas Agreement of the NIPP Plants.

  • Advised UAC Property Development Co. on its public offer for investment in a $200 million Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) for UPDC Plc.
